Road speed stop check

🚓🚔🚨 ROAD SAFETY OPERATION - STOP CHECK
Today 7th November 2025 at Blackness Road, Linlithgow, Police officers and DVSA conducted a road stop and speed check aimed at promoting safer driving and ensuring vehicles compliance.

A number of vehicles were stopped , with 4 motorists issued Prohibition Notices by DVSA and 8 driver warnings for various offences including vehicle defects and documentation. 
Two vehicles searched for drugs and 1 driver arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, no licence and no insurance.  

We remind all drivers to carry out regular vehicle checks and ensure their vehicles have the correct documentation and are roadworthy before setting off. Road Safety is everyone's responsibility.
